New Players welcome, it’s all about the fun.
Over Summer 100 to 120 people gather on a Monday evening for relaxed social bowls. Gathering from 5.00PM with a drink and a chat before bowling starts at 6.00PM and goes to 7.30PM when everyone grabs a sausage and a drink. All scores are placed and a lucky draw sees who takes home the meat pack prizes. Raffle draws follow and we head home around 8.00PM. This is a great way to trial bowls and see if there is a liking for the sport or whether it is just an opportunity to make new friends.
From the November 2024 we will run a similar fun event for pairs and triples. Commencing at 3.30PM through to 5.00PM play will take plus for beginners and seasoned players who wish to play a fun format of bowls. You can register as a single, couple or team and pay as you play. $5.00 per head. We provide bowls and “coaching”.
Format of Social bowls:
Teams of two, three or four will play a different opposition each week, sometimes against novices, sometimes against “retired” bowlers who happily pass on their knowledge. Family, friends and neighbours make up the teams however a number of individuals or couples come along and composite teams are put together. Cost $5 per game.
